Dear supporters:
First and foremost, the Janesville Lions Club hopes that you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy during the ongoing pandemic. While the Covid-19 virus has changed the way we live today and into the future, we should still take time to reflect on what we have and what is important to us.
As you may have already heard or suspected, we made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Rose & Carnation Sale. We know this is disappointing to those who have made it an annual tradition to purchase flowers for family, friends, coworkers and neighbors, and we thank you for your ongoing support.
We are in the process of refunding all orders, whether purchased in cash, by check, credit card mail-in, or via our club website. Refunds for online purchases will be automatically credited to the card/account used to purchase flowers, so please check your monthly statement or online account to ensure your refund is received.
The Rose & Carnation Sale is our club’s largest annual fundraiser, and we are discussing how we can make up for the lost revenue without affecting our various community projects, services, and scholarships. Please stay tuned for an announcement, and we hope you’ll consider supporting our club even if it doesn’t include a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
Thanks once again for your support, stay safe and healthy, and we hope to see you at our other major annual fundraiser: the Lions Chicken Roast, held in conjunction with the Friends of Riverside Park Musical Festival on Sunday, Aug. 16!
Yours in community,
The Janesville Lions Club
