Meet Lions members, learn about club at Feb. 3 event

If you’re curious about the Janesville Lions, here’s a chance to learn more

Most people are familiar with the Lions Club logo. As the world’s largest service organization with more than 1.4 million members worldwide, the logo is ubiquitous on buildings and signage in 48,000 communities worldwide.

But even with that level of brand familiarity, many are left to wonder: Who are the Lions? What does a Lions Club do? How does being a Lion differ from belonging to another service club?

Here’s your chance to find out, and to meet some of the people that make up the Janesville Lions Club. The public is invited to join us between 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3 at Rock County Brewing Company in downtown Janesville for a club meet & greet and social event.

Club members will be on-hand to greet prospective members, share their experiences as part of the local club, talk about their favorite service projects and fundraisers, and enjoy each other’s company. Light refreshments will be available, and all attendees will have a chance to win gift cards from local businesses by participating in our icebreakers activities.

There is no cost to attend, and there is no obligation to join the club. Anyone with questions is encouraged to reach out to the Janesville Lions Club via email or our Facebook page. If you’re unable to attend this event but want to learn more about our club or attend an upcoming meeting or event, please explore our website.
